The Pirate Queen

The Pirate Queen takes elements from the extraordinary life of Grace O'Malley, pirate, chieftain, lover and mother in 16th Century Ireland. We saw the last evening Pre-Broadway World Premiere Engagement at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago. The fabulous weekend is a little marred by it's ending. Harold got food poisoning from the chicken wings last night. He survives Cancun, Mexico without Montezuma's revenge, and then is attacked at home. So these emails will be out of order, Cancun, Mexico I'm not finished writing yet . But I had all day here to write while I try to nurse Harold back to enough health to make the 30 minute trip back home. Happy Thanksgiving. We have much to be thankful for. Our health (Yes, Harold would dispute that greatly at this exact moment, but we are thankful he did not need to go to the hospital and is strong and fit and will overcome this. We are thankful that my fibula has finally healed, my cast is removed. I will need some rehabilitation because of the long period of immobilization, but I am walking again, and I will be skiing again soon.) We are thankful for each other, for our families, for our neighbors and friends and clients. We are thankful that we love what we do and are good at it. Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays!
