Dave, Kazuo, Kyoko, Susan and Harry at Vicksburg National Military Park

All three bikes need minor work. There is a big storm coming from the northwest and moving the same way we are going. We decide to try to outrun it. We literally pull into the Harley dealer at Jackson, MS when the downpour starts. They take us in and fix up the bikes. And the rain stops. They pull up the weather radar, we will now be following the storm right into Mobile. Don't ride too fast, maybe you'll ride in behind it. We put all our rain gear on. And we get all the way to the Alabama border, chasing the rain, and then ride right into it. Kazuo's lights start to dim, his bike is not charging. We put him between us, because there is already no visibility, and we hope we'll make it in. Almost. A few blocks from his hotel, a half hour before the Mobile Harley dealer closes, his bike stops, he pulls over. Dave is leading and can't stop, he goes on to the hotel to call the dealer and give them our location. Harold and I call the dealer at the same time. And the four of us are now standing in the pouring rain. The dealer sends over a trailer quickly to pick up the bike and K&K. When we are greeted with "Kannechiwa" we know they are in good hands!

At the hotel we start running into our many friends from past years rides. Most of whom we keep in touch by email, but we have not seen in a year.
