Day 15 Posse Ride Eastern Campaign
Monday June 27, 2005
Portland, ME
140 miles
Warm and sunny in the morning, and cool and cloudy later in the day
States: n/a
Rode with: Jay and Cat, and the Texas Posse (Bling-Bling, Steve, Mark and Buck)

The day starts off slow, its a free day. We sleep in. I call Bling-Bling and ask if they are going up the coast. They are. They need to change oil first. We have to purchase a new phone. Yesterday Harold's phone fell off his belt as we took off in the morning, and Mike ran over it with his Harley. Amazing that it will still make and receive phone calls, but the LCD screen is gone. There is a Cellular One office right down the street. So we take care of that, they take care of oil changes.

We leave around 1 PM. We rode about an hour up the coast to Boothbay Harbor. Harold drove past the little town with all the shops and expensive parking, around to the other side of the bay, and decided on The Lobster Dock. Excellent call. You order food at the window, and then sit outside on the deck with a fabulous view of the bay. Dawn the owner was done there walking her dog. Her and Harold got to talking. After the kids are all grown, Dawn and her husband are going to buy their Harley and start touring. She was just fabulous. Our food was terrific. We stayed for hours. First chatting, then eating, then resting.
